The fall color in the eastern Sierra Nevada is a photographers’ dream and there are plenty of cameras and tripods in the month of October. The altitude, temperature and storms effect the best times each year. Sharon and I could not arrange to get to the area at its peak color but it was still beautiful. There are internet blogs that help you to determine where the best color is day by day. Most of our shots were along Creeks like Bishop Creek, lower Rock Creek and Highway 168.
I used a Sony A7R4 and the 16-35mm 2.8 GM lens. The shots were hand held since both the camera and lens are image stabilized.
