Moro Rock In Moro Bay From Cayucos

Well, sometimes it’s good to get away from the summer heat in Fresno and in 2.5 hours, one can be on the California coast. We took highway 41 south to highway 46 to Highway 1 and then South on Highway 1 to Cayucos. Once we were over the costal range, the temperature dropped considerably especially since the coastal fog had not lifted yet. We then headed for MontaƱa de Oro (Mountain of Gold) State Park. The parking is close and the beach full of rocks carved and shaped by eons of sea action.
It is somewhat amazing that we did this day drive on a Friday of this past week and on Monday, I had been at 11,000’ on Monday in the eastern Sierra Nevada beneath the glacier of Ed Lane Peak at Birch Lake near Big Pine. California is a varied place in spite of some of her modern issues. Much of my photographs were taken before the fog lifted.
         I used my Sony A7R4, 85mm 1.8 and 24mm 1.4 lenses for the photographs.
