The following photographs were taken about 0730 this morning
from the North side of Fresno. This is the view on a clear day after a rain
here with snow in the Sierras to the East. The photographs were taken with a
Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-HX50V digital pocket camera. The section of mountains photographed
is about 40 miles east of Fresno. NOTE: Click on Images to enlarge.
I realize Fresno California does not have a lot of crystal clear days but when we do, our view is worth the wait. I purposely did not crop the last two photographs to show what the view is like from the ground level. Fresno is about 290' in elevation here.
Hello. Thank you for posting the beautiful images. I would like to use the third image. Is there a way to license or get permission to use?

ReplyDeleteHi Suzanne,
ReplyDeleteCan you be more specific about how you would use the image and for what purpose?

can Mammoth mountain be viewed from Fresno. I would like to know if the large mountain I see to the north is Mammoth mountain?
ReplyDeleteThe closest I can think of is at White Bark Vista near Kaiser Pass. https://midsierramusing.blogspot.com/2017/07/white-bark-2017.html I may be wrong and am open to correction. Mammoth mountain can also be seen from "Mile High" out of North Fork on the Mammoth Pool road and from Potter Pass on the Twin Lakes Trail.
