There is a Redwood Tree between our
house and the neighbor. It isn’t an issue of fronds or patchy grass that gets
seconds after the tree has had Its fill. It is a matter of roots close to the
surface that make putting a shovel into the soil impossible and that are headed
to our foundation and the foundation of our neighbor. So, we hired a tree
company to limb, top and drop the tree. Tomorrow they will finish the ‘drop’
part.
The trees should never have been
planted in the first place and after 30 years, our neighborhood is infested
with them. We had the three on our property, in the front and three in the back taken out years ago.
I used to do this for a living and
when they are in such tight quarters, the climber needs ropes. It can’t be done
with a hydraulic hoist.
